It’s program (like Open Educational Resource) for school staff, parents, other educators. We realize it as innovative product - we looked for experiences in educational organizations, for practice examples. We got consultations from ABA therapists, teachers, who apply ABA elements.
Main goal - to share best practice examples in ABA use as Open Educational Resource.
Program course capitalize materials, contents, e-tools and open educational resources.

Why ABA?
Because: customized, wide range of use, scientific, tangible, graphics. ABA therapy effectively affects the child's behavior.

Hope our created product will be like a map for schools and education organizations to realize path of integration of ABA elements in their institution.
We offer to all target groups an Open Educational Resource that could support them in enhancing their skills to offer better quality activities in their own organizations. It’s open source, so it can be adapted to your requests if it will be necessary.

1 - ABA-ONV Comparative study-seems most important
Partners from different countries, with different experience showed us their view to autistic child or with social and emotional disorders. When you realize you are not alone with your difficulties, problems, view and wish to make changes, your daily life and jof activities become not so unsolvable. Then you realize you can share your experience and look for other ways. That’s why it’s important to study this part, to look seriously at partners view and possibilities.
To realize importance of our further material, we separated some most important aspects of our accomplished Comparative Study. Study contained of few parts:
- Made analysis of legislative basis in every partner
country and looked for possibilities to apply ABA.
- Extremely an important
interaction between parents and pedagogues is their relevance, so we
wondered what kind of ABA's application would be -organized
questionnaires.
- We also prepared semi-structured interview administered to the specialized school staff or autism experts to obtain a reference frame of the real situation and possibility of implementing projects aimed at schools to support the training of children with special educational needs.
Main objectives of this part:
- to introduce law system suitability
to autistic child’s education, integration and look for schools feasibilities,
awareness to use ABA.
- to
compare parents and teachers view in ABA benefit, real use for children and
possible use in school they child attend.
- to represent the educational
treatment of children with autism spectrum disorders and to elicit the
perspectives of usage or needs of applying ABA method with the ICT tools.

2 - How to begin adapt ABA-ONV elements
In this part you’ll find suggestions how to start use elements of ABA science.
Main objectives of this part:
- to acquaint main terms, related with
autism, ABA, alternative techniques;
- to introduce child assessment tools,
teamwork possibilities, aim settings using ABA;
- to
customize alternative educational methods and techniques.
- to show acceptability of ABA using
ICT - practical examples in video.
In Glossary are shared terms and information used in the field of special education. It’s possible to implement with others terms.
Our project team and social partners share adaptable child assessment tools: tools of assessment and child's cognition, child behavior assessment, ABC, evaluation schedule, Psychoeducational Profile 3 (PEP-3), evaluations of structured exercises, child observation card, questionnaires for parents.
You’ll also find the recommendations for teamwork. The collaboration of teachers, of professionals and parents is inseparable from quality and comprehensive education, rules of educators, parents and educational areas.
We payed attention to the curriculum, activity structure adaptation: suggest Personalized Educational Plan (PEI), Special pedagogue and speech therapist schedule of activities. You’ll also find suggestion for formation of self-help skills.
Alternative educational methods and techniques - in this part specialists shared alternative educational ways, like Sensorically limited environment, Awards, honors, Physical and musical exercises and others. Autistic children language education methods - with own experience share and adapt information from sources.
Video tutorial - these videos offer a practical demonstration of carrying out one to one activity. Videos are in italian language but you can see a detailed explanation of what we see in the video. There are some real activities examples, like it was specified as desired in Comparative Study.

3 - Visual tools application options
Third part is full of various visual examples - pedagogues, special help specialists make lot of visual tools and adapt them in using ABA elements. Visual tools variety was found as related to the Comparative Study results.
Main objectives of this part:
- to realise visual tools importance in autistic or child with social and emotional disabilities;
- to help children to adapt in the environment, communicate with educators, parents,
- to realise benefit of manage emotions, behavior, develop various cognitive and social skills
- To adapt visual tools in training of cognitive processes and fine motor skills.
We’ll present pictures for activities actions, self support, social and emotional management. These pictures were created by wonderful and creatfull mother Loreta - she collaborated with Lithuanian team and made up opportunity to adapt in practise. Based on these pictures, speech therapist, special pedagogue created communication book.
One of social partners explained what means PECS and showed example how to use it in stages.
No less important to use visual tools in adaptation of the environment. The expression "learning environment" is widespread in conjunction with the change of perspective recorded in psycho-pedagogical field. It is necessary to observe the set of components present in the situation in which the learning processes are implemented and that is to analyze the conditions and factors involved in the process: teachers and students, cultural, technical and symbolic tools. So, you’ll find workstation examples, structuring classroom, displacements, relaxing space.
One of part oriented with visual tools use in cognitive process and fine motor skills.
Learning outcomes:
- realized tools that helps children to adapt in the environment, communicate with educators, parents, manage emotions, behavior, develop various cognitive and social skills,
- got examples of adaptation of environment,
- gaved examples how to adapt visual tools in cognitive process and for increase fine motor skills.
4 - Formation of adaptive behavior
The problematic behavior of autistic children is often developed as an effective means of communication - a way to get what they want.
If you are looking for advices of practice reasons of problematic behavior, for management of socially unacceptable behavior (behavior modification, encouragement system), creation of social stories, realising variety of Token Economy, diaries of activity and ect. or looking better day activities understanding you can pass more time for studying this part.
Main objectives of the part:
- to introduce strategies for problem behavior management, use of incentives for managing bad behavior.
- To show how can be created and used social stories, realising variety of Token Economy, activity diaries, cards for communication and management and ect.
- To present Intensive interaction method and other methods.
